using PC CS 2.


1. Crop the image into 100x100.

2. Duplicate base. Set to screen 100%.

3. Duplicate base again and bring to top. Set to screen 100%.
[this step could be optional, depending on the brightness of your screencap/image].

4. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation
Saturation: +45 (master)
[if your image is too red, you could lower the saturation].

5. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance
Shadows: +40, +25, +25
Midtones: -30, -45, -35

6. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance
Shadows: -100, 0, 0

7. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color
REDS: -50, 0, 0, +10


and that's it! remember to play around with the settings because these exacts ones might not work with your screencap/image.

Great tutorial I'm makin kewl icons, I also sharpened the images once because mine looked too blurry
